Night Guards in Southwest Detroit

If you grind or clench your teeth at night, a night guard protects them while you sleep. Call (313) 841-1010 or walk in.

How you know you are grinding

  • You wake with a sore jaw, or a headache around the temples
  • Your partner hears it
  • Your teeth look shorter or flatter than they used to
  • Teeth that are sensitive for no obvious reason
  • Fillings that keep chipping or coming out

Most people who grind do not know until someone shows them the wear on their teeth. It happens while you are asleep.

Why it is worth dealing with

Grinding wears enamel away, and enamel does not come back. Years of it flattens the biting surfaces, cracks teeth and breaks fillings and crowns. A guard costs far less than rebuilding the teeth afterwards.

A custom guard, not a boil-and-bite

We take a mould of your teeth so the guard fits only you. The ones you buy in a store are bulky, fit loosely, and often end up in a drawer because people cannot sleep in them. A guard you do not wear protects nothing.

It takes a couple of visits: one to take the mould, one to fit it and adjust it so it sits comfortably.

Insurance and Medicaid

We accept Medicaid and dental insurance. Bring your card on the day. If you have no insurance, say so when you call and we will tell you the cost before any work starts.
