Why the gap matters
People often leave a gap because it does not hurt. The problem is what happens slowly: the teeth either side lean into the space, the tooth above or below drifts down into it, and your bite changes. Food packs into the gap and the teeth around it are harder to keep clean.
Closing the gap is not only about how it looks.
What is involved
We prepare the teeth on each side of the gap, take a mould, and fit a temporary. When the bridge comes back we check it against your bite and cement it in. It is fixed in place, so it is not taken out like a denture.
