Porcelain Veneers in Southwest Detroit

A veneer is a thin facing bonded to the front of a tooth. Call (313) 841-1010 or walk in.

What they are used for

  • A chipped or worn front tooth
  • Teeth that stay dark after whitening
  • Small gaps between the front teeth
  • Teeth that are uneven in shape

Be clear on what they are not

Veneers are cosmetic. They do not fix decay, gum disease or a bite problem, and those have to be dealt with first. If you have an active problem we will treat that before we talk about appearance.

Preparing a tooth for a veneer usually means removing a small amount of enamel, and that does not grow back. It is a decision to make deliberately, not on the day. We would rather you took the information home and thought about it.

Other ways to get there

Sometimes the thing you want can be done with bonding, which removes less of the tooth and costs less, or with whitening, or with clear aligners if the real issue is position rather than colour or shape. We will tell you honestly which one fits what you are asking for.

Insurance and Medicaid

We accept Medicaid and dental insurance. Bring your card on the day. If you have no insurance, say so when you call and we will tell you the cost before any work starts.
